GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I believe that i had a pretty average high school experience, I usually got all of the classes that i wanted. There were some classes that I loved and some that I wanted to love but they just didn't have the right teacher I feel. Overall I wouldn't want to see too much change other than bringing back the carpentry and metal working classes those were some of the best classes I experienced.

I would like to see it become more diverse. I like the plan they have in place to create a bigger campus as our school size continues to grow.

Orting HS has a very "small" atmosphere yet big ideas that are accomplished with goals set at the beginning of each school year. The students are all in all friendly and up beat. I enjoy the staff very much.
