I have enjoyed my time at Papillion Lavista High School. I have played volleyball for 4 years, and track for 2 years. I am a member of National Honor Society. I feel like the district has given me all of the tools to continue my education. Thank you for considering me for this scholarship.

My school has a lot of very very high quality challenging courses through our AP and Honors courses but the on level classes still give those who are taking them a challenge. I really enjoy the vast amount of electives that are offered which always gives me classes that I can choose from and enjoy. Although there are some issues at the school for the most part some of them get dealt with in a quick and orderly manner. Some of those problems are with drugs and fights especially are an issue but most of those issues get resolved pretty quickly. We have some issues with some students following policy at school but those get dealt with by admin promptly and efficiently in a timely manner. At my school our teachers are very effective and efficient at their job and teach the content very well. I feel as though I'm prepared for the future and whatever it holds for me.

I believe that my school has some very good teachers that help students with learning, but lately they seem to have been more focused on punishing students and putting everyone "into a box" rather than letting students focus on academics and socializing. While it is important to complete all your work, students find in much harder to complete their work much of the staff is implementing harsher rules.

My oldest two sons that are 26 and 24 both graduated from Papillion-Lavista and now I have one in high school there now and one in the LVMS. We bought our house in Papillion because we love the district and the small town feel.

We have had 2 children graduate from this school already and 2 to go. Both of my previous children have gone to college, graduated and thrived in the communities they are in. PLVHS is a wonderful school that has educated my kids to succeed. The counselors, teachers and support staff have been tremen...

This “school” definitely seems more like a prison than a place where a teen should thrive, and be educated. There are drug users in every bathroom, violence at every corner, and students roaming the halls instead of going to class constantly! Above all else, the administration is useless. I’ve heard...
