St. Patrick's Catholic School is operated by the Catholic Diocese of Des Moines and St. Patrick's Catholic Parish in Perry. The school was dedicated in 1921 and has served students in kindergarten through eighth grade since opening.
St. Patrick integrates Catholic education with traditional classroom learning. In an effort to strengthen the student's understanding of the Catholic faith, they participate in activities such as learning about a variety of Patron Saints throughout the year and attending weekly adoration. Students sit quietly in prayer and reflection for a full hour during adoration. The school also hosts rosary retreats for students.
The receipt of grant dollars has made it possible to invest in upgrading student technology, including replacing several classroom Chromebooks.
Growth and viability are on the minds of community members as they work toward goals to raise annual enrollment above 150. Parent Ambassadors are key to these initiatives, hosting many school-wide events throughout the year and positively impacting the students of St. Patrick School and the church community.
