It’s been almost half a century since Pflugerville High School opened its doors. Though it’s seen a lot of changes, the school’s reputation for excellence is nothing new. Like their mascot (which, incidentally, was the inspiration for the Dillon Panthers football team on the television series “Friday Night Lights”), Pflugerville Panthers are fierce — both on the athletic field and in the classroom. In addition to challenging core classes, students participate in a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Pflugerville High School’s debate team, choir, marching band and dance team are all award winners. After-school hours are packed with clubs that range from those united around shared interests, Like anime, books and chess, to nationally recognized organizations Like National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. In Central Texas, Pflugerville High School is a household name when it comes to athletics. Students swim and run track. They play tennis, volleyball and basketball. And of course, Friday nights were made for Panther football. The school’s legendary Kuempel Stadium is named for the coach who took the team to 55 straight victories. At Pflugerville High School, excellence is a tradition. It started almost 50 years ago, continues today and is sure to carry on well into the future.

My experience at pflugerville has been confounding, exciting and also cherishing. I have had nothing but helpful teachers that want all their students to succeed in more than just their classroom but whenever it comes to our upcoming adult lifes, our teachers have given us advice. Diversity is wide ranged and when you go to club meetings its filled with positivity. Academically this school keeps students on track.

Overall my high school experience was pretty good at this campus. I would love to give recognition to the teachers at the school. Not only do they do their job as teachers and teach, they push you as a student to work harder, try harder, and be successful young adults. I also loved the school spirit the school had. every year it kept getting better and better we are known as a school for our amazing PCREW spirit team.
