At Pflugerville’s Brookhollow Elementary, there’s a lot to rave – or, as they might say at the school, roar – about. The school’s mascot is the bobcat and to roar at Brookhollow means more than just to let out a bellow. R.O.A.R. stands for “Reaching Our Academic Rigor.” This reminds students to always do their best and it reminds teachers that no child should ever leave Brookhollow without mastering the skills they need to succeed. Academic rigor isn’t all Brookhollow has to offer. Students participate in a variety of engaging enrichment activities. Destination Imagination is a program in which students form teams to solve problems creatively. They also compete in a science fair, show off their knowledge of the globe in a geography bee and flex some mental muscle in a math pentathlon. Music, art and chess add further opportunities to make and do. At events like literacy nights and a fine arts showcase, students share their work and their experiences with the community. Everyone looks forward to the annual mother-son, father-daughter dance. Students at Brookhollow Elementary receive a strong foundation in academic subjects. They have lots of opportunities to explore. But most of all, they learn to always let their inner bobcat roar.

We've had 4 kids pass through Brookhollow. It's a great school with many caring and passionate teachers. It's a smaller school. This lends itself to your kids getting a more personal experience. Teachers have time to focus on all of them individually. We really enjoyed our years at Brookhollow.
