At Pflugerville’s Spring Hill Elementary School, days are filled with learning, enrichment activities and fun.
When students aren’t mastering the fundamentals of reading, writing, math, science and social studies, you’re likely to find students hard at work on a creative project, preparing for a scholarly competition or possibly learning a musical instrument. Just a few of the many enrichment opportunities at Spring Hill Elementary School include a Spanish spelling bee, poetry jam, math pentathlon, science fair and Destination Imagination -- an international team competition that challenges students to solve complex problems with outside-the-box thinking. Students can also join the Percussion Club or Ukulele Club or sing in the school’s choir.
Spring Hill’s creative faculty and staff are always full of surprises. The gymnasium at Spring Hill is a destination for P.E. class, of course, but it’s also been known to transform into a planetarium so future astronomers can study the stars. And students never know when the school’s mascot, Sharkey, will make an impromptu appearance in the classroom. Challenging academics, unique extracurricular choices and plenty of fun make learning at Spring Hill Elementary an exciting adventure.
