With the Rockets as their mascot, students at Madison Rose Lane Elementary are taught to be safe, organized, accountable, and respectful. Here, they are given the opportunities and skills to help them soar like rockets from day one.
At Morgan Rose Lane School, more than 750 students in preschool through fourth grade are inspired daily at the Madison School District’s renowned institution for the visual and performing arts in the heart of North Phoenix.
Beginning in kindergarten, all students can get involved in music, dance, P.E., and art. In the second grade, they can participate in a theater program, while in third and fourth grades they can choose an arts discipline that they can further develop in middle school.
In core class subjects, teachers at Madison Rose Lane take a cooperative learning approach where students often work in pairs or groups to elevate collaboration that carries over into their arts. As a highlight of their education, many students will have the opportunity to perform at the Madison Center for the Arts.
The school also fosters opportunities for parents and caregivers to volunteer at or attend performances, family nights, or special events. By taking an active interest in a child’s activities both during and after school, they may become more engaged with their development.
