As a public charter school in the Espiritu family of schools, NFL YET College Prep Academy serves more than 250 students in seventh through twelfth grades in the South Mountain neighborhood of Phoenix. In a partnership with the National Football League (NFL), the school creates a unique learning environment, dubbed a Youth Education Town (YET), where students can “acquire foundational knowledge, seek truth, and become international servant leaders committed to changing the world.” Here, like at other Espiritu schools, the curriculum integrates the Trivium philosophy of education, which follows a classical approach to learning founded in grammar (discovering facts), formal logic (understanding why), and rhetoric (applying how). Students are encouraged to think critically and invite discussion, whether they’re engaging in lessons in math, science, language arts, history, social studies, or electives in the classics. Outside of the classroom, students can also thrive in a number of activities including weightlifting, MEChA Club, robotics, Key Club, the International Student Travel Association, yearbook, and the Student Board of Service. Through the Arizona Interscholastic Association and the Canyon Athletic Association, more athletic students can build school spirit on teams for a number of sports, from football and basketball to volleyball and soccer, among many others. With a focus on achievement, NFL YET helps students keep their eyes on the future.

Nfl was an experience to remember. I came in my sophomore year only knowing my one friend, Moy. The school took me in as one. All the people I meet at nfl, all my friends, I consider them my second family. I would never regret the move decision. I remember every second of it. I have contact with many teachers from there they helped me so much and got me out of my shell. The basketball coach always give me reality checks. Told me how life is and to buckle up and get ready to take action. Also, not rely on other people because when in 40 years old I have to one looking after except myself.

At NFL YET College Prep Academy, it isn't just a normal high school. It's a school where friends and teachers turn into family.

I like how NFL YET is a small school that knows everyone and is like a family. I think the school should have more opportunities. For instance, AP Honors classes.

I do NOT like this school. I have argued and argued with my brothers' mother to get them out of this school, but she was more focused on convenience than their education. Being an educator myself, I do not feel this school has the leadership/staff nor academics to provide quality education. I'm putt...

NFL YET is the worst school ever! It's just awful. I would suggest putting your children elsewhere. I had my daughter at that school since kindergarten and it was just a terrible experience for her. The principal along with other teachers like to pick favorites and if you aren't and that list then y...
