Nestled in a residential South Phoenix neighborhood, Pleasantview Christian Elementary is a small, non-denominational private school that provides a spirituality-based education founded in love and non-discrimination.
As Pleasantview states on its website and literature, “We are not committed to any particular religious views, creeds, or dogmas. We are committed to the academics of the mind and the love of God of the heart.”
Here, students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade excel in a curriculum that uses HMH Phonics and Sadler-Oxford materials. The teaching method includes combined classrooms where students learn with others from multiple grade levels, which provides opportunities for mentorship and better social development. Due to its small student body, the school offers more one-on-one attention for more personalized learning.
As a Christian school, Pleasantview has its students attend biblical studies where they learn and discuss the scriptures, in addition to the core curriculum; however, the school focuses on preparing students for their futures by instilling a sense of love and respect for everyone, not by indoctrinating but by inspiring.
Students and their families also can participate in a calendar of school activities throughout the year, including a Renaissance festival, annual Thanksgiving feast, plenty of school plays, and end-of-year field trips.

This School is Great! The love that all of the staff has in their hearts for each and every student that attends there is tremendous! I am thankful that they love my children as their own and teach them about Jesus in everything they do. Thank you PVCE!

I love this school my children and nieces and grandchildren has all attended this school the ones that have graduated went to high school way ahead from where they needed to be the high school actually ask what school they come from

My son is now in first grade and has attended Pleasantview since pre-kinder. He now reads at a third grade level. He loves first grade and is always excited to learn. Also I have a son in pre-kinder now, he is excited to learn how to read and at four years old is starting to learn his sight words! L...
