Within walking distance from El Reposo Park, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School educates children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in affiliation with St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Parish in the South Mountain neighborhood of Phoenix. This private school teaches one classroom per grade with a maximum capacity of 25 students per class.
The faculty and staff follow the school’s mission to “educate students and families to integrate knowledge and a traditional Catholic faith, in all matters, in order to know, love, and serve God.” A mainstay of the school’s curriculum includes religion classes featuring gospel weeklies and instruction from Baltimore and Catholic Connections textbooks. Additionally, students can join a weekly rosary club where they further study scriptures and work on inspired art projects.
St. Catherine of Siena also hosts a core curriculum including math, science, English language arts, history, and the lost art of penmanship, which is taught in kindergarten through fifth grade.
To help students balance spirit and mind, the school encourages engagement in a number of team sports from football and soccer to volleyball and basketball.
All new applicants for kindergarten through eighth grade need to take an entrance exam, and there are organizations available for tuition assistance with discounts given to parishioners of St. Catherine of Siena.

Excellent school, everyone is very nice, but it gets very expensive. I can't afford to have my daughter another year. Wish it wasn't so expensive, and just keep her there.

This is a great school! I have a child who has graduated from St. Catherine and 3 that are attending. The principal is awesome she cares about her students and teachers. She works hard to provide the kids a safe environment and with a good education.
