Serving the South Mountain neighborhood since 1956, Valley View School inspires 600 children in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade as a flagship public school in the Roosevelt School District N0. 66 in South Phoenix. As the home of the Eagles, Valley View encourages students to “empower [themselves] and others, act with love and kindness, give respect and be a leader, learn and listen, and [to] enjoy the journey.” In addition to a Leader in Me program at the heart of the school’s educational approach, the core curriculum includes STEAM and project-based learning that integrates digital literacy and technology. In addition, students can often go on field trips or experience in-class presentations such as those from the Phoenix Zoo or other local institutions. After school, Valley View offers students a range of activities and clubs including reading club, arts and crafts, LEGO Building Bonanza, guitar club, henna club, drama club, cooking club, and the Eagle Disposition, which is a club for critical thinkers. Beginning in fourth grade, students can find their own instrument in an award-winning band program. For the more active set, aspiring Eagles can participate in volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cheer. There is something for everyone at Valley View School, whether you find interest in academics, athletics, or the arts.

Horrible school, should be shut down. Just look at their test scores they have been failing our community for many years. That school is an injustice to education.
