If you child does not have excellent executive functioning in 6th grade, the school offers zero support and instead structures the classes to ensure the kids feel badly about themselves and give up before they get a chance to mature.

As a parent, I am deeply disappointed with Piedmont Middle School. My child experienced repeated bullying, both verbal and physical, and despite bringing these concerns to the administration multiple times, little to no action was taken. If your child enjoys anything academic, this school will make sure to suck the life out of the topic so it becomes a soul crushing slog, while also not actually teaching them anything. If your child just wants to go through the motions it's probably fine.
