As a current student, it is very academic-centric. It is an Asian-American dominated school, but there is a sizable Hispanic and Latino population in it.

Piedmont High School is a good school that has really good resources for advancement in anything stem related. The art programs are a little under funded with all of the ceramics and dance levels being mixed. They have a good college counselor there to help answer any questions and read over college essays. One thing I would like changed is the level of stress students put one grades. There is a lot of stress put on grades which is a bit annoying at some points and it takes away from the fun art programs.

I have had two daughters attend Piedmont schools: kindergarten through high. Both loved & thrived in elementary. The elder was miserable in and socially withdrew from middle and high, and is now happy & thriving elsewhere. The second liked middle, but may not have been developing into her best self....
