This school is great. The teachers all care and respect you as a student and want you to succeed. I have teachers that actually try to help you so incredibly much and care about your well being. The AVID program at Ballou is amazing. The teacher, Mrs. Jessika Burns, is incredible. She gives her all for her students, cares about them in a both academic and personal way. She wants you to be happy, she tries her best to help you out when you aren't doing well, and she gives the best she can to help you keep your grades up. She has to be one of the best, if not the best, AVID teacher there is out there. She dedicates her time and devotion, her energy, to her students. All in all, Ballou Junior High is a pretty amazing school.

We had a wonderful experience moving to the area to this new school. Our son was very nervous starting middle school, but after the first week he felt great!

The academics are challenging and ahead of private school standards. They enforce rules and discipline...
