GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Some of the clubs included are Student Counsil, National Honors Society, and Business Club. The teachers all try to do things that will make the club fun, but there isnt much that we do except fundraisers. We have an annual "fair", and all the clubs have a different part such as a cake walk, or a dunk tank. Students aren't really commited because there isn't much reward.

I believe Quapaw High School is a very safe environment. We've never had any problems with anything unsafe. We have safety test twice a year. All the doors lock automatically, the secretary has a camera in her office to see the people coming in and out of the door. Our principal also has cameras to watch the halls and outside areas. I always feel safe at my school, not once have I ever felt scared or unsafe.

For such a small community Quapaw has an excellent new Principal. The teachers will be held to a higher standard now. The activities that this principal will implement in our schools will be exemplified as he works for improvement as he did in the Welch OK school system.
