Home of the Dragons, Ray K. Daily Elementary teaches students from pre-kindergarten to fifth grade and is located on a major thoroughfare, Briar Forest, in the Briar Village neighborhood.
The school’s large campus provides several playgrounds and an outdoor area for students to play in. Fun is abundant at Ray K. Daily Elementary, as students and their loved ones can attend events such as meet the teacher, book fair, PTO Friday night events and carnivals.
Pupils have two class parties each year, one before the winter break and one on the last day of school. Teachers organize classroom activities instead of parties on other holidays, encouraging young learners to get involved in the classroom community.
The bell schedule at Daily Elementary starts at 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and students are dismissed at 3 p.m. As a Houston ISD school, all students are provided free breakfast while the school’s Champions program offers before and after school care. In addition to providing a variety of fun activities, Champions offers the safety and convenience of a high-quality in-school program.
The school offers the Vanguard program as a Gifted and Talented resource for young learners in kindergarten through fifth grade. Students are selected based on classroom performance, standardized test scores and teacher recommendations. Students are also able to apply for dual language programs.
The Ray K. Daily Elementary School offers its young scholars a well-rounded education with various opportunities for advancement.

When my son first started, it wasn't very good. It seemed to not run very well, for the parents, that is. They were great with the students. Now that the new principal is in, she's done some great things and it feels more like a well run school.

We have been very happy with Daily. Principal Khaliq is enthusiastic and dedicated to her students education. Any time I have had a question for her directly, she has responded with in hours. My sons teachers have really done well with him. He loves school and loves learning thanks to Daily!
