Home of the Rockets, Red Bank Middle School (RBMS) focuses on the combined efforts of staff, students, parents, community members and partnerships to ensure that all students achieve and become inspired. Academics and enrichment opportunities extend beyond the school day, focusing on athletics and performing arts within the school and through community partnerships such as Kids on Broadway, Count Basie Center for the Arts and Monmouth Conservatory.
Other special area classes include art, music, AVID, health, mindfulness, Chinese and Spanish. Additional partnerships such as the Stars Challenge Program at Monmouth University, Project Write Now, Horizons at Rumson Country Day School, Community YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Salvation Army and Red Bank Elks Lodge, all work with the school to provide students with enriching experiences that help children dream big.
All students at RBMS participate in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) which integrates science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). This engaging and hands-on curriculum enhances problem-solving skills, develops critical thinking and continues to foster creative and innovative reasoning as the students move on to high school.

The most telling data is the section on Student Progress - how much students improve from year to year. Student growth data from year to year and longitudinally is the best way to analyze a school's performance and student performance.
