St. James Elementary School, originally founded in 1867, now enrolls approximately 400 students in preschool through eighth grade. Under the guidance of a principal, vice principal and staff, the school’s original mission of educating the whole child within the framework of Catholic faith, honor and academic excellence continues into the 21st century.
St. James preschool helps young children build a strong foundation for academic success in the elementary years and beyond.
The curriculum follows recommendations from the Diocese of Trenton and includes religion, mathematics, language arts, science and social studies.
The goal is to challenge the student, encourage intellectual curiosity and make learning a lifelong pursuit.
The school also offers summer camps for preschool through fifth grade students. The camps provide fun activities and academic enrichment with weekly themed experiences.
