It was okay. Advanced classes aren't very diverse because most of the kids who are actually prepared for advanced classes are from middle schools in the San Carlos area with more funding and advanced class options. The football team fell off when I was a junior. Security is okay, there used to be a lot of fights my first 2 years but I don't see much of that anymore. A lot of vaping in the bathrooms though. Most teachers are kind and considerate but every once in a while, you'll get a teacher who doesn't really teach and just assigns homework or isn't nice. There are a lot of clubs but I didn't take part in any and most people I know didn't either. It's a good school to have the "traditional" high school experience. Really nice campus. It's big but not big enough to take forever to get to class and there are multiple spots to hang out, especially teachers' classrooms if you know which ones allow it. Hate the new schedule change though, we used to get much longer lunches and brunch.

Sequoia High school is a beautiful campus but needs a change in its educational system. It's unsafe, and the curriculum is very limited. My daughter was a student of this school and couldn't graduate because the classrooms were a mess. I have relatives in Arizona, and they tell me how well-structure...

Love the IB program, but it is true that outside a select few colleges there doesn't seem to be a good translation for the program. Our child is a sophomore and enjoying Band, pre-IB math, pre-IB History and Honors chemistry. Issues with retaining teachers effected experience in Spanish and English....

I am currently a Junior at Sequoia High School and I couldn't be happier. When I was a freshman I went into the counsellor's office to talk about my schedule and after I told her that I wanted to be a nurse in the future she introduced me to the Health Careers Academy. It's the most amazing program...

As a student I think Sequoia is one of the most unqualified schools in the district. This school does not care about their students. The teachers are unqualified and when students attempt to address these issues the administration brushes it off. If you want to be removed from a class with a teacher...
