Richardson Heights Elementary School is a Richardson Independent School District public neighborhood school. The school serves prekindergarten through sixth grade students. The school’s courses include core subjects and fine arts classes. Students will take mathematics and reading every day. They will also learn science and social studies daily. The curriculum for these courses is based on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills Standards. Students take art once per week and music twice per week. They also participate in health education and physical education classes. The district participates in the Coordinated School Health initiative to support the development of the whole child. The program aims to educate children so they can make healthy and active lifestyle choices. Parents are encouraged to volunteer on campus and join the school’s Parent Teacher Association. The Parent Teacher Association helps raise funds and supply the school with resources. They also sponsor various events throughout the school year. Students and parents love the annual Heights Picnic and the Carnival. Students are encouraged to participate in spirit days every Friday. The school colors are blue and white. The school mascot is the Wildcats. Following the completion of elementary school, students will attend one of the junior high schools in the Richardson Learning Community feeder pattern.
