My experience at Making Waves Academy was full of many challenges. From freshman year to senior year we always had a shortage of teachers which affected us as students academically and mentally. Every year at least a couple of teachers would quit which would leave the students lost. As a community we persevered through these challenges with our school spirit. We remembered our core values and no matter the academic challenges that came our way we found a way to be successful in our high school experience.

ITS a good school you get help with college apps AND they are very helpful.But teachers aré never permanent we have a lot of Substitutes AND suspensión AND not good safety.

Throughout my time in Making Waves Academy I noticed both positive and negative things. The best things were the community and the environment. The worst part of the school was the lack of resources it had which made me feel unprepared compared to others once I went to college.

There is no diversity at this school what so ever, students call other students the N word and write it on school property.
