Part of the nationally high ranking Henrico County School system, Dumbarton Elementary School serves more than 600 prekindergarten through fifth grade students from within the Laurel community. This home of the Wildcats, located along Hungary Spring Road is surrounded by colorful playgrounds, three baseball fields, basketball courts, and an open sports field encircled by a track.
Combining wellness lessons with gym class, Dumbarton aims to help students make healthy choices inside and outside of the classroom. Dumbarton Wildcats are encouraged to join extracurricular activities and clubs at the school, such as safety patrol, Girls on the Run and National Junior Beta Club.
