GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Roane County High School does very well in academics and the learning experience is slowing going down hill. The school has very few good teachers anymore and students do t feel the need to come to school due to lack of teachers. I've always loved the school activities such as; Spirit week and pep rally's. I found these activities to be the best part of high school. I do believe the school system on our rights needs to change up a bit. Bully had been going on for to long and I do feel like Roane County High school does nothing about it most of the time and it really does get tiring listening to all the students complain about it constantly.

I liked the ag department of Roane County High School, however the rest of the teachers do not care about the child's learning and will not lift a finger to help the kids when they are struggling. They would also rather put in 100s than actually teach us stuff.

I love the environment. It's not next to a busy street, we don't have to worry about our safety here, and everyone knows everyone else because of the small community. One thing I would change is the opportunities given here because there isn't a wide variety, but it's still such a friendly school and safe.

I am a graduate of Roane County High and if not for the help from the wonderful teachers and staff I never would've made it.
