Oakmont has the reputation of being an old school with mediocre sports programs, but great academics, especially its IB program. The school grounds and facilities are dated and could use some updating to keep up with neighboring schools such as Granite Bay and Westpark HS. I am satisfied with the quality of education my child has received over the past 3.5 years at Oakmont.

It was okay, administration is not very enhanced with the kids. I think staff should find a way to always be close with the kids and be able to communicate to make the school better

Change? If I could change anything about Oakmont, I would choose not to. To expect a school to perfect is to be unrealistic. From amazing teachers to an unkept school campus, the best and worst parts of Oakmont all came together to form what was my high school experience.

Our daughter transferred here mid-school year last year and we are so happy that we did! From the office staff to the counselors to the teachers to the coaches...everyone has been amazing! I am a current Junior at this school. The programs are great here and there are definitely some amazing stand out teachers. the gate that they have makes me feel like a prisoner instead of a student ready to learn. the staff are respectful of a student's identity, but the students need to learn tolerance and acceptance. sometimes i dont feel safe at the school because i feel distrusted when the campus is locked up and fu...
