In 1999, the gates of Vencil Brown Elementary School opened to the residents of Highland Reserve. As one of 17 schools in the Roseville City School District, this public institution serves approximately 425 students from transitional kindergarten (TK) to 5th grade. It was named in honor of Mr. Vencil Brown, a longtime teacher and community activist in Roseville, Placer County’s largest city.
Home of the Grizzlies, Vencil Brown Elementary strives to uphold a child-centered atmosphere that acknowledges the unique talents and attributes of each student. Open communication between the school environment and home is encouraged through student handbooks, class newsletters and weekly folders. With a 20-to-one student-to-teacher ratio, you can be your children will build long-lasting relationships with their teachers.

We have been so happy the last 4 years at this school. The staff take the time to know everyone by name. My son’s teachers have been some of the most caring teachers I have ever met. There are lots of engaging and fun activities for students to participate in like ukulele club, and choir.
