GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Early College high school has been an excellent school for me for the last four years. It offers its students college readiness but also a college degree for free. After graduation, you graduate with a high school diploma and an associate's degree.

This year I had a really good experience at Early College High School. I really felt like my teachers this year were really there for me and helped me get through the rough times. I also really liked our principle mr.o he was really nice and helped cheer up our days. Something that was hard about this school year that could be fixed was maybe a cover over the food area for a little shelter. Whenever there it bad weather it is really hard to hold an umbrella and food tray at the same time. Overall I enjoyed this year at Early College High School. I would like to point out Mr.Stewart he was my family teacher and my English teacher. He was a excellent teacher this year and his class was my favorite. There where times that I felt I was having too much work or I needed help going over my colleges papers and Mr.Stewart always understood and the things students where young through or needed help with and would help us solve these problems.I really enjoyed attending Early College High School.

RRECHS gotten considerably better over the years, but there has been high turnover and ongoing problems with communication and the relationship between the students and administration. The teachers are fantastic and supportive but the environment is highly stressful. Overall, though, the school is improving and we hope RRISD will lend us more support and work with us students at this campus.

Overall, it has been extremely unpleasant when it comes to our administration. The only things that I believe are pros of this school are our Club days, the college credit & experience, and the community that students have built.

My experience at this school by far would be a 6 because yes there are some amazing features and opportunities at this school such as only clubs/study hall on Fridays. On the low side, I have experienced a blindsided situation with the school's former counselor (she is gone now, honestly wish it wer...
