I have been in this district since kindergarten and watched the value and quality of this school deplete. In my last 2 years of high school the school has particularly struggled with bad administration. We have had 3 different principles in 2 years and many teachers who have been a part of the school for decades chose to leave.

Everyone at the school cares a lot about the arts, and our band program is one of the best for small schools in the state. There's a lot of concern about the administration ineffectively leading the district, but the teachers care deeply about the students. There aren't as many resources as a larger school would have, but it's an excellent small school near Minneapolis.

Curriculum is underdeveloped. Stopped offering advanced level classes. Very little diversity. Few solid teachers, but lots of not good ones.

The school is trying to be better. I as a parent is not happy with it. too much changes in principles, no diversity at all. no help with students beyond high school to help prepare them for the future.

Prepared me extremely well for both college & life. Have realized that most other schools don't even come close to having the level of individual attention that STA offers.

Our son grew tired of being treated like a second class citizen and left to earn his diploma elsewhere.
