Academics, community and faith are the cornerstones of the experience at Our Lady of Lourdes private Catholic school in University City, Missouri on Forsyth Boulevard. The prekindergarten through eighth-grade school provides unique academic programs in small class sizes, with electives in art, music, science and public service.
Younger children will benefit from the school’s cutting-edge phonics program while older students can participate in the Academic Enrichment program. The program provides an opportunity for students to learn outside of the classroom through the self-directed exploration of a research topic over the course of several years, culminating with a presentation.
Faith is woven into every part of the education with students leading and participating in school-wide prayer as well as attending a weekly school mass. The school also offers a multiday sacrament preparation retreat for eighth graders.
The school is a member of the National Catholic Education Association and has a total of over 350 students.
