Was there during 2010-12. I still remember the old building but during that time I had an okay experience, nothing really stands out. There were some admin that weren't to great but I dont think that work there anymore.

Middle school is typically challenging. However I consider Salk to be a good middle school. There are a wide variety of electives, clubs and sports for students to choose from. Also the music program is the best compared to other middle schools in the district.

Several times multiple teachers have been playing inappropriate music for the kids. Some teachers have a problem with letting students go to the bathroom when needed and call the parents, me, when they go anyway to avoid an accident. Salk made for an easy transition from elementary school. My daughter received so much support and encouragement from teachers and staff. Academically, socially and athletically she thrived due to the great staff.
