Dedicated to its voracious vision to make students ready for college and life after, kids are in good hands at this stellar elementary school. The mission of Stone Ranch is simple; to “honor our past, explore our present, & discover our future." That's why it's such an ideal space for children to create and learn in Rancho Bernardo. As one of the biggest elementary schools in Poway Unified School District, this community educates more than 750 students each day. You don’t have to worry about your child getting lost in the local academic crowd, though, as Stone Ranch Elementary School has a student-to-teacher ratio of 23-to-1. This smaller ratio ensures that each student will have more than enough one-on-one attention. Boasting over 45 different classrooms for pre-kindergarten to fifth grade, Stone Ranch Elementary has more than enough room for all students. Built in 2004, this school offers reading workshops, group activities, project-based skills and much more. I'm seventeen years old so forgive me for not having an recent memories of elementary school. It was a generally happy time. I liked most of my teachers, and I feel like I learned a lot. Although I almost think the curriculum is more centered around reading/writing and less thowards math, which I needed more support in. Then again, I haven't attended the school in about six years, and it could have changed since then.
