For the almost 4 years I've attended, most of the time there has been a good relationship with the teacher and the student. There is a lot of one on one with the Teacher and other staff, if need be. They check up on how you're doing if there is a change in behavior, attendance, classwork and so on. Teachers try to get you to push yourself to try to do the best you can to get you're mindset ready for college.

I think this is a school in which everyone finds their place and feel comfortable with everyone else in the school. Social Justice is one of the main topics discussed in most of our classes. This school has a diversity in culture and is full of many different personalities which makes it fun and interesting. I would definitely choose this school again if I could because I would gain more knowledge about my community and social justice issues that I would not get in any other school.

The school feels mostly safe, since it's a small school. Most familiar faces will be walking down the hallways or in the classrooms. If anything the school makes a announcement if someone's visiting for a particular class, or to shadow, or to participate in a school assembly.

I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but some are truly absurd. I am a Senior at JJSE, i came into the school my 9th grade year and I was one of those students you would have called ignorant or uninterested in their education. I hated school in middle school and i never viewed...

I am Rating June Jordan a 5 because, I believe JJSE is one of the best schools in San Francisco. I am a student at JJSE and would never think of transferring schools. Were small so we can build relationships with our peers and our teachers. We break the cycle of oppression because were being taught...

I am a freshman at this school and I love this school but it seriously does not prepare you for college. This school is too easy and if your GPA is higher than a 3.0 you might feel that this school is too easy and the work they give u makes you feel dumb beacuse of how EASY it is. The teachers are n...

They do not prepare the students for college. They let students graduate whom should not. They enhance subjects, rather than emphasizing the CORE SUBJECTS. They have they call an intersession, (supposed to take the place of PE-over half of the activities do not involve PE) we as parents spend approx...
