In 2002 or 2003, a 4th grade teacher deliberately humiliated a student in front of half of the school. The principal enabled this teacher's attitude and announced this humiliation in front of the school and gave this student a certificate for it. Dismal. I have taught in several public schools in Oakland and this school, despite the goodwill and good energy of many of the teachers and support staff, was plauged by disruption in classes. When my grandson came home and said that an adult had been hit by a child when he came into the classroom...

My son was there since pre k to 4th gradr now he is 5th on a different school he gets bullied or bothered by other kids everyday and nothing has improve since we where there some staff are great has been there for years but the principal and v. Principal changes alot teachets come and go aswell.
