I have had a really good experience with the teachers. They are kind and understandable. I do not really like the food there so maybe they could make the food better. I do think they don't need yondr's so that's something they can change. They are also too strict.

San Mateo High School was notable for its Biotechnology department, one of the largest of its kind in the San Mateo Unified School District.

The school is very diverse and very spirited which makes the high school experience much more engaging for the students and teachers. There is a variety of different classes to choose from so there is a class for everybody to take and enjoy at least a little bit and the sports are very fun and well promoted and well coached.

This school has unbeatable school spirit and pride. Fantastic faculty and staff who go out of their way to make you feel accepted and comfortable.

My son is finishing his freshman year and loves it. We are blown away by all the AP class options and SMHS is a pathway to any college and their track record proves it. The environment inviting and feels like a family. School spirit is amazing. We have had other kids go to expensive private schools...
