It definitely wasn't as bad an experience as people make middle school out to be, however it wasn't great either, Elko was just in the middle of sucky and okay. It didn't have a lot of fights but it did have some, and the school dances weren't terrible. Just an average school.

Elko Middle School has a lot of potential. When the school first opened, it was an incredible school that had lots of accolades. Nowadays, the children who go to the school ruin it and make the good teachers quit and the worse the teachers, the worse the children. I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone unless the school changes.

My granddaughter went here for 2 1/2 years. In her 8th grade year she became a victim of being bullied. Her Mother went to the principal and assistant principal. Coming from a student (8th grade), I think Elko middle is good school! Most, not all teachers help students in many ways. Elko taught; is teaching me everything I need to know. last year, Mr. Aberle was the best math teach you could ever learn from! Now I am in an advanced math thanks to him. Lastly...

This school is not preparing our children for the future. Impress upon them a college education and what it takes to get it. Also, show them that there are consequences for their actions, good or bad.
