Overall a great school compared to other schools in the town. I would like to see the school focus more on improving academic technology for students and funding for sports instead of trying to solve student drug use which, let's face it, isn't needed. Teenagers are going to smoke and vape they have been for a hundred years and there is no reason to try to stop it when they aren't harming anyone else.

My experience at NHS has been wonderful. I have had very few complaints except for one of my AP classes where I felt the teacher didn't care much about performance and preferred to make it harder than necessary. Although I did well on the AP exam I could have learned more. I feel less likely to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor because of that class.

Newtown High School is a good learning environment. However, the students are privileged and rude, the teachers are often harsh and don't teach well, and the administration is more focused on keeping vaping students out of the bathrooms than the health or safety of their students.
