The Center School is a small art and science focused school where students give and receive peer feedback to improve their studies. Parents are given access to student learning upon request but privacy is important to both students and staff. It is an accepting environment for all. Kind teachers offer custom projects to better your understanding of curriculum. Current events are talked about freely and without judgement for the benefit of all students.

My experience thus far has been extremely positive, most teachers are supportive and understanding. They treat students like people. The school community is really strong and so is spirit among students. We support each other through success and failure here

I'll start with what I don't like about The Center School, and there is a fair amount. Being an extremely small school, the classes are quite limited. We don't have a band or sports program or a great number of elections. Though we have an extremely large population of LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse kids, we are severely lacking in racial diversity. Right now, our school is around 70% white. There is much that makes up for this though. The Center Schools fosters the most intimate community. Never before have I had teachers that I also consider some of my best freinds. Walking down the halls, I know everyone and do not hesitate before waving to everyone I pass. The Center School is what you make of it, and if you are willing to put in the work to get the most of the community and everything this school has to offer, the fours years you dedicate are sure to be ones you remember with pride.

This is a Seattle hidden gem! Most don't know that it is a public school. The size of the school is so small in comparison to standard Seattle public high schools. For all grades combined, the student population is anywhere from 165-226 - depending on the school year. My child entered the school as...

My kid has been thriving at Center, and we're really happy with our choice to send her here. Unlike my own large highschool experience where I felt quite anonymous, the teachers seem to really know the kids, and my kid has not had a teacher yet that she doens't love or like a lot. She is advancing w...

Terrible school with a few really good teachers and a terrible principal that ruins it all. She never takes ownership of the mishaps that occur in the school and thinks she’s above it all. Negative experience after negative experience and my child is miserable. We were really excited to be at this s...

My twins started out so excited to be at the this school. It sounded good on paper. The kids in the program were creative, interesting and smart but many are drug involved and we learned that the school does very little to supervise and support them. One parent told me he didn't know his kid had a p...
