Overall, it is an excellent school. Sequoyah High School is lacking in some areas; however, it is approaching where it needs to be.

The family dynamic within the students at SQHS is the best part of the school. Unfortunately, our leaders and authority figure are not exactly up to par. There are many changes needs to ensure future success at SQHS, and in Monroe county in general, and it starts at the top with our superintendent and board members, and works its' way down to our principals and even our guidance teams. We must find people that are all in for our success as students.

At SQHS, the teachers and people are wonderful, and the atmosphere is amazing. Though, we get very little funding.

I can not describe in words how bad this school is, not only does cover up bullying but even with the highest gpa you can get here you will still be very unprepared for any college you can get into, nearly all the students here are addicted to something, there is no room on the bus's kid have to sit...

Horrible. This is the worst school I have ever been to. They do nothing to help their students. Drug abuse and dealing happens, students are not free to express themselves unless they agree with Christian values despite it being a public school. And they do not enforce equal treatment of students by...

I would not recommend a parent send their child to this School. The Students are definitely not prepared for entrance to college. When a Valedictorian of any school has trouble with college classes in Math, there are major problems with the High School they just graduated from!
