Equipment bought for students pushes the cost of 7 figures on a yearly basis. However, a lot of this equipment is not utilized by many teachers. Some teachers are incredible, while others are extremely lazy and are the cause of students' failures. Food for students is very often so undercooked it is inedible.

It is a great school that allows for many avenues for its students. Between the many different certifications a student can earn, there are many chances for students to get a jump start on college.

Honestly there is a lack of reasons I can praise this school. The teachers are a hit or miss, as most school teachers are, some times you get a strict one or you get the laid back, chill one. My daughter attended GCIT and had an IEP. My son is now attending and does not have an IEP. My experience so far has been that this is an exceptional school comparatively. Expectations are high and there is support for the child in achieving his/her goals.

GCIT is a poor excuse for an education. The culinary program is unorganized and lacks focus. With little communication between staff and students.
