GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The experience is wonderful if you are only worried about academics, but more could be done to facilitate a school culture that make people want to go and be around their fellow classmates.

I started at GCIT in 2019 for Cosmetology. Freshman year was great except for when Covid hit. After that everything was tricky but GCIT was always there to push me and my classmates to keep pushing and working. I graduated last year, 2023, with my Cosmetology license and my Diploma.

The best part of my experience is the opportunity to meet people who share similar interests, people that end up becoming lifelong friends. The worst part of my experience is not being able to complete NHS hours when it is not school-affiliated.

Honestly there is a lack of reasons I can praise this school. The teachers are a hit or miss, as most school teachers are, some times you get a strict one or you get the laid back, chill one. The curriculum is very overwhelming, especially if you are in the business studies or cosmetology, and lacks...

My daughter attended GCIT and had an IEP. My son is now attending and does not have an IEP. My experience so far has been that this is an exceptional school comparatively. Expectations are high and there is support for the child in achieving his/her goals.

GCIT is a poor excuse for an education. The culinary program is unorganized and lacks focus. With little communication between staff and students.

My experience with GCIT is that you get out of it what you put into it like any high school. My allied health academy allowed me to take college level courses in chemistry, calculus, English, history and psychology as well as preparing me for my biochem major with college anatomy and physiology and...
