I learned a lot in my years at Central Valley High School. One of the biggest things was being offered duel enrollment courses through our local Shasta College. It helped me get ahead on college and know what it would be like.

The school is incredibly racist. It is a majority white school leaving only a few black students. I had multiple encounters with racist students calling me the N word as well as the hard r and a multitude of other racial slurs. The teachers don't ever really do anything to stop it. The education is alright though.

I believe this school provided my son with a great education, the chance to earn almost a year of college credits, as well as the opportunity to play sports he might not have been able to play at a larger school. This school gave him great memories, friends, and a ton of options after graduation.

My daughter attended CV in 2014-2018. She was a high academic student. She took all Honor's classes as well as classes at the college in the summer, which CV highly supported!
