Lots of ways to get involved at SMNW. There are very welcoming communities in the arts department. Admin is trying their best.

The best parts of Shawnee Mission Northwest, have been the involvement of the student body with sports, assembly's, and dances. There are plenty of classes that you can take for college credit, and with JCCC being so involved in the school, you can also reach out and use their resources too. It's just as if you are a college student. I do not even have a worst part of this school, I love it. Something I would like to change is the block schedule, I believe that we should be able to have block schedule twice in the week then 7 hour days for the remaining days.
