The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Shepherd high school is a very fun and unique school. Though it is pretty small with about 50-60 kids per class it is so nice to have close relationships with everyone and you are able to know everyone in your grade. It is also super nice because the small amount of student you have such a close relationship with the teachers and they are all so nice and willing to help any time. Shepherd has many clubs and sports and there is a list of involvement and success in both. The only down part about the small school is the lack of ap and honors classes. Yess we have many but not as many as most schools. I love shepherd and have enjoyed my experience there and highly recommend.

Shepherd High School is a pretty good school. I love the close-knit community. The teachers and students all pretty much know each other.

The only thing that is really great about Shepherd Highschool is the academic opportunties. Spots aren't great, and the club opportunties are only good if someone's parents aren't running the clubs. Overall, I'd say Shepherd, isn't that great of a school altogther.

The school seems to worry more about athletes and making sure that they have passing grade than they do in educating the students. A big focus on sports and sporting activities, with only luke warm results.

As a parent I highly recommend Shepherd. My 3 boys have been attending Shepherd for 2 years now and have to say out of the 3 schools my boys have attended it's by far the best. Staff is amazing and everyone is a huge family.

This school is an okay school. The teachers have strong believes and are not afraid to show it. Shepherd is not diverse at all. In the high school there are 1 black person, 2 or 3 Asians, a couple of hispanics and a couple of native americans/ island pacificer. Shepherd teacher are invloved with the...
