GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I loved attending North High. It felt safe and welcoming. The teachers really care and dedicated to their work and helping advance the students. There is so many options for classes and new experiences. So many resources to colleges and getting real experience in a career.

North high has a wide range of positives and negatives. A few huge positives are how proud the students are, for the most part, of their school. Things like homecoming or prom were always huge deals. Senior nights for all sports, even our theater program got credited for accomplishments throughout my four years at the school.

I feel like my school is ok now. Some of the teachers do best in their job. One thing I would like to see change are facilities.

I feel like this is a good school but they need to lessen the crowding in the halls.

Overall being a student was very hard and I had some really bad experiences with both faculty and students which caused me leave after my second year and I found a much safer and better atmosphere at another school in the area

North High School is the most diverse school in Sioux City and that is one of the pieces I most enjoy about my children attending there. Students are friendly and staff is professional and hard working. It is also a supportive school for children. They have been part of a safe schools grant and have...
