GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Lots of drugs among the students. School nickname...the pharmacy. Definitely not the best academics, very low standards among the teachers and students. The football team has a five-year losing streak.

Teachers are very willing to teach the students. They have a good sense of humor. Most of them try to prepare the sophmore, juniors, and seniors for college. There is a decent workload. The curriculum is good. Many good, well-used classes with knowledgeable teachers.

Extracurriculars at Kingsland are basic. We have the main sports and simple organizations. We recently added a dance team, but nothing new has been added to the school for a number of years.

I understand the reviews written in 2016 and before and I agreed with them then. But now things are so different at Kingsland. New school board members came in and drove those problems right out. I would not have believed it could happen until it did. There is a different superintendent and elementa...

It's been great! I would say that 5-6 years ago it got pretty bad and honestly I hated our school. But the last year or 2 has really turned around with new superintendent and school board. LOTS of big changes that have been good and way more communicating. The families for the most part have embrace...

We moved to this district when our oldest was in 6th grade. Our youngest children all stared kindergarten at this school. We had fairly good experience with our oldest child, but didn't notice many issues with our 2nd oldest due to disabilities. After our oldest graduated, the school let go many of...

teachers are great at Kingsland however the administration is not approachable, make decisions without all the facts, rarely willing to listen to all parties and consider all information, refuse to consider the probability of having made an error in judgement, steps of discipline are more of a sugge...
