It wasn't a bad time at all, but it was easy to see the difference in quality between Lewis High and other high schools in the county. There was definitely a certain stigmatism around being a student at Lewis High, which made it kind of hard to be proud of the school. It was always known as "the lesser school" in comparison to all the other ones.

My experiences in this school, John R. Lewis High School, was I guess you could say a good experience. There was a lot of diverse people including me for I am also new to this school. Some of the students were friendly and approachable including the staff and teachers. The staff may also be a bit strict sometimes but I can understand and ensure myself that I follow the rules. There's also a lot of clubs you can join in that will spark your interest. Overall, it's a great school but not a perfect one.

I have taught at this school for 22 years. Wonderful students and wonderful staff. The AP test rating on this page is very deceptive-- we are an IB school and only offer AP courses for those classes that are not covered by the IB program-- so of course our AP rating is low. It should be. Also-- the...

Excellent. The teachers are highly qualified and truly care for the students. the demographic makeup is the true "melting pot" that America has always been and will always be. the school is safe and clean. I have nothing but good experiences with Lee and my children feel the same way.
