Going to SHS in it's more recent years it's quite obvious that the school is just falling apart from the inside out. The school can't seem to hold teachers for more than two years and while you may get a good teacher you can't be sure for how long they'll stay around. Most of the administration doesn't seem to take student concerns to heart (despite what they say) and it can be very off-putting to students who are just looking for help. I hope for future generations sake that the admin gets their act together and solve the issues that the students actually have as right now the school in a breeding ground for violence and bullying. Besides these concerns the school isn't horrible. It's your normal run of the mill public high school.

Very Small. There are some amazing teachers but a few are terrible. The funding for sports isn't really there. I really enjoy how well faculty is involved with students and communicating what needs to be done.

Springfield high school is pretty average for a public high school in the southern Vermont area. It is not spectacular in any way, but they do offer quite a lot of opportunities for non-traditional education experiences, like taking tech classes or dual enrollment classes.

The school doesn't help my kid at all. Some of the staff were very rude when we expressed our concerns and didn't follow our daughter's IEP accommodations (by law they have to), blatantly lying to us when we asked if they were. It was so bad that we had to get an advocate from Vermont Family Network...

Like the community it serves, Springfield High School does face challenges. SHS is a great school for your kids the teachers are very helpful and friendly and the students are for the most part very nice kids. They also have very good sports programs.
