Run by the Archdiocese of Chicago, St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy is a highly rated Catholic-based elementary school serving students in Grades pre-K through 8. Founded in 1874 as part of the St. Stanislaus parish in the Wicker Park neighborhood, the school’s motto is “Faith, Virtue, Valor: Expressway to Excellence.” St. Stanislaus Kostka Academy, known locally as “St. Stans,” combines Catholic values with rigorous academics. Its graduates consistently go on to some of the most competitive high schools in Chicago, including Lane Technical Academy, Walter Payton High School, and St. Ignatius Preparatory. St. Stanislaus’ 3 acre campus provides bright, friendly classrooms, fully equipped labs and numerous outdoor spaces, including an urban garden, a soccer field and a large playground. Programs include language education in Mandarin and Spanish beginning in the early grades, social-emotional learning and STEM. Enrolling over 150 students, St. Stanislaus’ vision is to prepare students for excellence in a respectful and supportive environment. Extracurricular activities include choir, drama, chess club, coding, robotics, music, and several athletic programs.

St Stanislaus Kostka school has always been good to me and my family and I appreciate them so much I'm so happy my son could be at a better school and he's getting a better education I went there as a little girl so it makes me feel good to know he's there too and through the pandemic they have been doing everything possible to keep my son safe and I like that and I like the strategies there are doing there working hard everyday and we are thankful for that
