I attended as a freshman in the 23/24 school year. best thing about the school was how the food mostly didnt suck. if you are thinking of transfering your child here, DONT. the special education department has awful staff. i have been told by ed techs that "we all need shock collars" "just go home. your ruining my day." "so what if she has chlamydia?" and much, much more. i was failed in my english 1 for attendance even though i did all the work and have an IEP and 504, saying i have issues being in class, and work better in a smaller group of people. i was at school. i was in the special education room. they refused to follow my IEP, would change it without even NOTIFYING me OR my mother. changing things we both wanted. they told me to print everything off myself but then wouldnt give me access to any of the schools printers, saying i should just "buy one at home". i have transferred out for my next three years of high school. fights broke out constantly, the doors have alarms on them

I don't think that Bonny Eagle Highschool is very LGBTQIA+ friendly all of the time. It's a very mixed school of politically diverse people and people bump heads a lot. I fought very hard to get gender neutral bathrooms in the school because it was becoming unsafe, my fellow students and I were being harassed for our choice of bathrooms. I do want to mention how wonderful my teachers and faculty were. (I had a queer school consular that helped a lot)

Within my four years of attending Bonny Eagle High School a lot of change has happened. Wether it's in administration or new rules everything is always evolving for the better or worse. The worst parts about attending this school is definitely the education and resources that assist students in their education after high school. I would say the best thing is the sports programs and opportunities from there on as well as the community. In the future I would like to see Bonny Eagle make more of a safe space for students to express themselves and succeed after high school.
