Staten Island Technical High School, being the #1 public high school in New York City, is great academically. Some teachers can be slackers, as they know the academic grit of the students and thus do not feel the need to teach. The sports could be better, but many are offered.

It's surreal to think this is a top-ten national school. It's not bad. The classwork is alright. They have testing days, which most teachers follow, so you're not stressed out. I just wish we had more languages despite the "school culture" and whatnot.

Staten Island Technical High School is a great high school. The school has 3 floors and about 1,300 kids, meaning it's not a big school. However, this only makes it better as the learning is much more personal. The teachers truly love their jobs and their passion is to educate the youth and prepare them for the world. The school is STEM based, especially physics/engineering so if that is your strength, SITHS will be a great place for you.

This school has no limit to the amount of opportunities it offers their students. The entire staff from principal to cafeteria workers have one common goal - how can we make our kids be the best they can be!

This school has a welcoming and friendly environment. The teachers are great--knowledgeable and caring. They prepare students for adulthood.
