Stayton Highschool is quite a unique experience. In my four years at this school I have seen teachers and staff come and go leaving behind and brining in the culture that Stayton High is built on. Academically Stayton offers a variety of electives and dual credit programs that help students learn and grow as individuals. There are also a variety of extracurricular activities that students can take part in; there is a wide variety of clubs and sports students are able to participate and enjoy. Regarding student life and communication with staff much can be said. Students are offered many opportunities both academically and emotionally to discuss and work with staff to help and or fix any issues. As far as safety and discipline go there is staff to monitor halls and administrators to deal with punishment for any outlandish behavior. ultimately Stayton High has many opportunities for students and prepares them for college.

Pretty good school and nice teachers. The teachers are caring and understanding typically. Although sometimes I feel the district doesn't consider the weather conditions of Lyons, because I am scared to drive to school somedays when they don't call a 2 hour delay in bad weather conditions.

The school itself has water damage and we've been told by teachers about rats in the walls that we can in fact hear sometimes. And a few months ago we had three people overdose in the school bathrooms. Oh, and the bathrooms are only cleaned like once a month and half the doors don't close on their own.

I was a student and it sucked. Not the students that's normal but every other aspect sucked. And 3 years later kids of all ages are saying the same thing.

Lots of bullying, most staff treated me poorly. The only good staff end up leaving at one point, new teachers barley stay because of how bad it is. Counseling was a joke.

the principals are disrespectful and rude and they laugh at students and don’t do anything about drama. kids start drama a lot and they smoke and vape and drink

It is very biased.they dont do enough about bullying and target students who parents disagree with them. We are leaving this school next year.
