Incompetent!! As for teachers character ..some are dishonest, mainly Special Needs classs grades K through First grade. Highly recommend having video cameras for child safety.

My two kids went through 8 years at Ed Smith K-8. The teachers cared deeply about the kids and there was always good community support. Both kids are now "A" students in high school, doing well in AP courses.

Mr. Barber is an outstanding principal who stands out as a leader who looks out for the best interests of the students there. I have had 2 kids in attendance here since for 9 years. While we have seen many changes going through the SCSD, Ed Smith continues to strive for success for the entire student body.
